Set up as a social enterprise in 2014 Stoneywood Community Projects CIC works in and around the Falkirk District offering an affordable property and maintenance service to people from all walks of life.

One of our main goals is to regenerate derelict land, and we have undertaken this type of work at various sites throughout the district. Based in Denny we were keen to find a piece of derelict or wasteground locally to re-develop for community use, so we approached Falkirk Council regarding the derelict land that the old Dunipace Juniors Social Club stands on. Since obtaining a lease for this land, discussions have been held to ascertain the best use for re-development, building upon the community consultation work already carried out in the area. As part of these discussions, the idea for a Community Hub, garden and community training facility was born.

The development of an exciting community facility such as this will enable Stoneywood Community Projects CIC to deliver bespoke programmes to groups and individuals to achieve positive outcomes such as enhanced employment opportunities, social inclusion and improved health and well-being.

The Community Hub is yours. We firmly believe that a local community focal point will not only bring the community together but encourage and allow input from a range of different community groups and their service users. Please get in touch with us direct if you’d like to get involved. Check out our social media pages for updates and / or join one of our drop-in sessions,
